How do I convert text typed with the wrong keyboard language?
Choose English keys → Thai when Thai was intended while the US layout was active, or Thai keys → English for the reverse. Each character is replaced by the character on the same physical US QWERTY/Thai Kedmanee key. This is keyboard-layout conversion, not translation or spelling correction.

How the calculation works
The mapping follows the Windows Thai Kedmanee layout 0000041E across the number, QWERTY, ASDF, and ZXCV rows in normal and Shift states. Auto mode compares Thai and Latin character counts: a Thai majority maps to English; otherwise it maps to Thai. Unmapped characters such as emoji and line breaks are preserved.

Limitations
- Only US QWERTY ↔ Thai Kedmanee normal and Shift states are supported; Pattachote, Dvorak, IMEs, and custom layouts are excluded.
- This is key-position substitution, not translation, spelling, word prediction, grammar correction, or transliteration.
- Auto direction can be wrong for mixed Thai–English or punctuation-only text; choose explicitly and review the output.
- Unmapped characters are preserved; input is limited to 100,000 Unicode characters to protect responsiveness.
- Do not trust unreviewed output for passwords, personal data, critical documents, or high-impact messages.
Frequently asked questions
Does this translate Thai and English?
No. It replaces characters by physical key position and is useful only when the wrong keyboard layout was selected.
Does it support Pattachote or Dvorak?
No. The table is specifically US QWERTY paired with standard Thai Kedmanee. Pattachote, Dvorak, IMEs, and custom layouts differ.
Why should I choose a direction for mixed text or punctuation?
Some punctuation can be both a US key and a Kedmanee output. Auto mode uses whole-text Thai/Latin counts, so mixed text is safer with an explicit direction and manual review.
Does the website store pasted text?
No. Conversion, paste, copy, and file generation happen in the browser without server submission or localStorage.
