How is age calculated from a date of birth?
Compare the date of birth with today's date, count completed years first, then completed months and remaining days. This calculator accepts Gregorian and Buddhist Era years and uses today's date in Asia/Bangkok.

How the calculation works
A Buddhist Era year is converted to Gregorian by subtracting 543. The date is validated against real month lengths and Gregorian leap-year rules. Calendar age advances through completed anniversaries and months. Elapsed days run from 00:00 on the birth date to 00:00 on the reference date in Asia/Bangkok; hours, minutes, and seconds are conversions of those full days and exclude the current time of day. Western zodiac output is for entertainment and does not affect the age calculation.

Limitations
- The result is general date arithmetic, not certification of age or legal, medical, educational, or benefit eligibility.
- Hours, minutes, and seconds are converted from full days at 00:00 and are not precise to the actual birth time.
- A 29 February birthday is clamped to the final day of February in a non-leap year; some institutions can use a different rule.

It calculates through 00:00 on today's date in Thailand, so elapsed totals contain full days and exclude the current time of day. The result changes when the date changes in Thailand.
How is a 29 February birthday handled in a non-leap year?
This calculator clamps the anniversary to the final day of February, 28 February, for calendar arithmetic. Legal or institutional rules can differ, so this convention must not be used to determine eligibility.
Can the zodiac result determine health or personality?
No. The Western zodiac label is entertainment-only information based on common month-and-day ranges, not a scientific, medical, or personal assessment.
Is the date of birth stored?
No. Calculation and file generation run in the browser, and the date of birth is not sent to the server.
